Münster: Cosmographiae universalis Libri VI.

The Cosmographia by Sebastian Münster (1488–1552) was on of the earliest German language descriptions of the world. The German edition from 1544 was followed by numerous editions in German and translations in a variety of languages.

Juan González de Mendoza/Kellner: Neuwe/ Kurtze/ doch warhafftige Beschreibung …

In 1589, Johann Kellner published a translation of the first part of Mendoza’s Historia de las cosas màs notables. Direct comparison with Matthaeus Dresser’s edition (1597/1598) shows that Dresser relied heavily on Kellner.
