Eliza Ruhamah Scidmore (1856–1928) was an American writer, photographer and geographer. She traveled the Far East accompanying her brother George Hawthoren Scidmore, a career diplomat serving in the Far East. Scidmore joined the National Geographic Society in the 1890s and later bekame the frist female board member of the National Geographic Society.
