This is the second edition of a translation of the Ta’riḫ-i-ḫata , first edition published in 1679 . It was published by Andreas Müller’s son Abraham. Andreas Müller attributed the Ta’riḫ-i-ḫata (Tarikh-i-Khata) to ʿAbdallāh Ibn-ʿUmar al-Baiḍāwī (m. 1292) – (cf. Löwendahl 191).
Löwendahl refers to remarks on this title in Emil Bretschneider: Mediaeval researches from Eastern Asiatic Sources, vol. 1, (1910 [1888]), pp. 196-197, n. 532: Bretschneider cites Quatremère’s Histoire des Mongols and identifies the text as part 8 of the Ta’riḫ-i-Banākatī (1317) by Banākatī (m. d. 730/1329-30).
Collation of copies vary, some volumes do not include the Persian text, some contain different selections of other works by Müller.
